Beacon Private Hospital
The design responds to the demanding requirements of the technical brief and the constrained nature of the site. The seven storey building is configured as an ‘L’ with a central atrium forming the entrance ‘knuckle’ between two wings. An interstitial service floor is provided above the theatres minimising duct lengths and providing independent access to theatre services. Ambulance set down is provided through basement car park.
The interior fit-out seeks to Strike a balance between the needs of the visitors comfort and the clinical requirements of the hospital environment. We have created warm welcoming waiting and common areas for the public using large loungers, strong warm colours and carpet where appropriate. The Clinical areas have used cool colours with strong contrasting colours used to identify public routes and areas and patient rooms.
