The 250 beds LTC Hospital provides a design synergy of aesthetics, high quality medical spaces and maximum spatial efficiency with the focus being cantered on the patient experience. The design style uses a dynamic contemporary approach, with rhythmic movements of facade elements, encapsulating local tradition in the proposed Mashrabiya screening to the front of the building. The carefully considered materials and finishes respond to the local character of the area to create an elegant and modern landmark building with a unique Qatari identity. The Hospital layout brings the principle of two curved wings interconnected by the glazed atrium and linked to various departments with the series of elevated bridges on each floor. The requirement for an efficient connectivity between multiple medical areas has been delivered by the provision of adequately spaced and easily identified vertical circulation cores linking all levels of the hospital.

Patients and visitors are introduced to the building interior through dedicated entrances located in four different parts of the ground floor area. The main entrance is designed as a brightly lit open space. The use of high quality materials throughout and provision of sitting areas overlooking the gardens creates a warm and inviting environment. The openness of the main atrium is to provide legibility of the space and allow patients and visitors to quickly identify the location of the service or ward they require. There is a dedicated entrance with exclusive lift connection to VIP zones housed at 5th & 6th floor levels. The quality of those spaces provides easy wayfinding and a pleasant experience to everyone visiting or staying in the hospital.
